 Shasta Dam- Tour the 2nd largest Concrete Dam in the U.S.
Free Tours provided at the Visitor Center.
BY CAR: I-5 to Exit 685, Head West, until you reach the dam. BY BOAT: Beach your boat East side of the Dam and walk up to the Visitor’s Center.  Shasta Caverns- Begin your tour with a boat ride across Lake Shasta and then a scenic bus ride, rising 800 ft., up to the Caverns. You will see Stalactites and Stalagmites, Draperies, Helictites and Cave Coral. BRING YOUR CAMERA!
BY CAR: I-5 to Exit 695, go east, follow the Shasta Caverns signs. BY BOAT: Lower McCloud Arm on east side, across from Holiday Harbor Marina, Tie-off Houseboats on the shore, smaller boats may tie-off on the dock. 
Samwell Cave: The cave’s 1st. room is open to the public, Samwell Cave is noted for its use among the Wintu Indians. In the closed portion of the cave, Scientists have discovered cultural artifacts and Ice Age fossils. Legends tell of pools of magic powers and ritual ceremonies. A key from the Forest Service can by applied for if you wish to visit the entire cave. BY CAR: I-5 to Exit 697, drive over McCloud Bridge, park on right hand side. BY BOAT: Accessible by parking at Point McCloud, follow the nature trail to the entrance. North end of McCloud Arm on east side. HIKING TRAILS
Samwell Cave Nature Trail- BY CAR: Gilman Road, exit 698 (off of Int erstate 5, then down to the cave by a footpath which starts 2.8 miles past McCloud River Bridge.
BY BOAT:Point McCloud (on the McCloud Arm) and follow the nature trail one (1) mile up to the cave entrance.
 Greens Creek Trail- Boat access only. East side of McCloud River, or at Bear Cove on the SW Squaw Creek Arm. The trail is 6 miles round trip and climbs over Limestone Mountains.
Sugarloaf Creek Trail- The trail is 4 miles and ends at Sugarloaf Road. BY CAR:Lakeshore Dr. Exit # 703, turn Left, follow signs BY BOAT: Accessible at Sugarloaf Creek crossing on the Sacramento Arm. Hirz Bay Trail- A scenic 2 mile walk crossing creeks and great vistas BY CAR: Gilman Rd., Exit# 697 to Hirz Bay Amphitheater. BY BOAT: Can be hiked from Hirz Bay Amphitheater or Dekkas Rock Campground on the NW McCloud Arm. Packers Bay Trail System- 4 trail loop system 
BY CAR: I-5 to Packers Bay Exit, take Exit 695, get back on I-5, go Southbound, take Exit 693. BY BOAT: Packers Bay across from Bridge Bay. 
Bailey Cove Trail- 3 miles of Sightseeing, Fishing, Swimming, a Public Boat Ramp. BY CAR: I-5 to Exit 695, follow Shasta Cavern Road. BY BOAT: West side of the McCloud Arm.
Clikipudi Trail- An 8 mile Loop, the longest maintained  trail on Lake Shasta. BY CAR: I-5 to Oasis Rd (Exit 683) to Bear Mountain Road, trail at Jones Valley Campground. BY BOAT: Trail starts at Jones Valley Campground on the Pit River Arm and ends at the boat ramp. Dry Fork Trail- A trail following the shoreline to the Dry Creek Inlet. Great fishing and panoramic views. BY CAR: I-5 to Shasta Dam Blvd., Exit 685 and follow signs BY BOAT: West side of Shasta Dam at a county road only accessible when the lake is down 15 ft. or more.  BULLY HILL MINE- Boat Access only. Squaw Creek Arm, N.W. side. The ruins of Bully Hill Mine can be seen on a flat just above the north shore line. A Copper producing mine from 1901-1927 that sat just above the town of Delamar. You can reach the mine ruins by taking a 2.5 mile trail at Baxters Gulch and ending at the mine.

Boat access only, Sacramento Arm,end of Little Backbone. Hike up creek approx. 20 minutes
Waters Gulch- 
Boat access only, Sacramento Arm North, near Packers Bay. Visible from Waters Gulch Trail. 20 foot waterfall. Bear Canyon Falls- - Boat access only, 3 miles past Stein Creek on Pit River Arm. 25 foot waterfall. Do not attempt, by boat, if water is below 25 feet down, hike in.
Indian Creek Falls- - Car: I-5 to Gilman Rd, Exit 698 to Gregory Beach Campground
- Boat: Across from Antlers Resort on the Sacramento Arm
 Potem Falls-
Car: Fenders Ferry Rd, Exit 697, 1 mile past bridge over North Pit River
Boat: Beach boat close to Pit 7 dam, in a safe place, Beware of dangerous conditions for parking your boat. Hike up to Fenders Ferry Rd., go over the bridge and follow 1 mile |
